190 PR, 491 provisional

  • For the 12 months prior to application, employ 2 full-time employees in the Australian business

8. The only difference between Significant Investor Stream and Investor Stream?

An additional difference is that  the Investor stream requires an investment of at least AUD2.5 million,  while the amount for the Significant Investor stream is AUD5 million.   The Significant Investor stream has no business history or experience  requirements, no (soft) age requirement, no English requirement. Only  ownership of $5mil assets and ability to prove source of funds.

9. Does acquiring a company shares, can get a business visa then can apply PR after 3 or 5 years?

This depends on the relevant  stream, which would not be suitable for the Investor or Significant  Investor to meet 888C requirements. For the Business Innovation stream,  company shares are suitable, but need to show that they are actively  managing the business as part of 888A criteria, not just a passive  investor/owner.
